Bereavement is defined solely as the state of loss.  Grief is the reaction to loss physical, cognitive, behavioral, social and spiritual. For every child diagnosed with cancer this year at least 35 children will lose a parent. 1 in 7 Americans lose a parent or sibling before the age of 20. Divorce rate among bereaved parents is eight times the normal.

A family is like any other living organism… its parts must function with harmony in order for balance and health to be achieved. We believe that personal and family values are the cornerstone of healthy families. The Grace Village Mission  is to help Blended families live healthier, happier, more productive and fulfilling lives. We achieve this by helping family members build personal and social skills designed to develop stronger family ties. Our programs empower every family member to further develop personal values through self-worth, gratitude, respect, responsibility and purpose. We achieve this through developmental programs that teach emotional, intellectual and spiritual maturity. By strengthening our individual values and maturity, the family naturally grows stronger.

On any given day there are nearly half a million children in foster care in the United States. For these children, the connection to a safe, loving, and nurturing environment is too often lost. This most often has dire long term consequences. Countless studies reveal that the majority of foster children come of age without the fundamental skills needed to grow into successful, contributing members of society. The primary challenge these children face is under-developed personal and social skills the ability to build long term trusting relationships.
